FAQ

Questions

What is an IFSC code?

IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) is an 11-character code that identifies a bank branch for NEFT, RTGS and IMPS transfers. The first 4 letters are the bank code, the 5th character is always 0, and the last 6 identify the branch.

Where can I find my IFSC code?

On your cheque leaf (next to the branch address), the first page of your passbook, your bank statement, or in net banking and the mobile app. You can also search by bank and branch here.

How do I search an IFSC code using the bank name?

Choose the bank, then the state; every branch is listed with its IFSC. Type the branch or area name to narrow the list.

Can I search IFSC by city?

Yes. After choosing a bank and state, pick the city, or open the city page from the Cities directory to see every bank there.
